Book Week 2017

Book Week 2017 was a great success.

During the week, classes participated in many activities and workshops.

Infant and junior classes took part in dance workshops held by Bluebox Entertainments. They created and performed the stories of Tiddler and The BFG.

Each class also learnt a poem by heart and performed it at our special book week assembly.

Throughout the week there were also mystery storytellers who shared a story with each class at the end of the day.

Many children took part in our competition to design a bookmark based on their favourite book. Congratulations to the winners.

As usual we had Snuggledown. The children enjoyed a variety of stories read to them by their class teacher whilst snuggled in their pyjamas and duvets with the odd cuddly toy thrown in!

A big thank you to everyone who supported the Scholastic Book Fair throughout the week. The final total taken was £600.00 which resulted in £300.00 commission. This commission was used to refresh the library with some of the latest titles.
