WW2 Evacuee Day

Year 6's topic last term was the Battle of Britain during World War 2. The children wanted to find out what it was like to be an evacuee for the day.

They all rose to the occassion and dressed accordingly. After meeting at Plymouth Railway Station they travelled on the Tamar Valley Line to Calstock. Many parents came to the station to wave them off. On arriving at Calstock they walked to the quay and sketched the viaduct and the river. Following that, they went to the Arts Centre where they played traditional games that children would have enjoyed at the time.

A great day out!
