Our Visit to Stoke Climsland Methodist Church

The children from year 5 spent a very informative afternoon with some of the members of the church. Their visit enabled them to compare the differences between a Methodist and an Anglican church. After learning about the history of Methodism, they sang a hymn and then were treated to a drink and biscuits.

Elsie commented, "It was quite plain inside, unlike other churches I've been in, where there is lots of decoration. We also sat on seats rather than pews."

Mark noted, "It was much smaller inside than some churches I've been in."

Harriet commented, "I learnt some things that I didn't know about John Wesley and everyone was really nice."

Year 5 would like to say a big thank you for the hospitality shown to them by the members of the church.
