Lowenna's Litter Pick

Lowenna has been learning about the environment and really wanted to do a litter pick in her local area.

Making a Difference

Lowenna said she wanted to 'make the planet a nicer, cleaner place and safe for the animals and wildlife’. So she put on her gloves and set off!

So much collected!

She was really quite upset by the amount of litter they collected in quite a short space of time. She noticed that it was all recyclable and mostly plastic.

Making a Poster

Lowenna did not want to stop there and decided to design a poster about litter picking and looking after the environment.

The Finished Poster!

Lowenna created a poster about not littering which was taken up to Tesco. Fantastic poster Lowenna!

Poster on Display at Tesco!

Two of the managers at Tesco spoke with Lowenna about what she had been doing and have displayed her poster in the foyer. They have shared a post on the Callington community champion page. We are all so proud of you Lowenna! Good luck with your next litter pick!

Kyle's Activities

Kyle has been having a fun time at home, getting up to lots of different activities. He has been enjoying riding his bike and getting super strong at taking his bike over different terrains. He has been very helpful at home, helping to do painting, gardening and building which involved lots of digging. Kyle has been creative and made a wonderful rainbow and added the Spanish words for rainbow. He also made and decorated some tasty gingerbread people, decorating them as different people in his family. Kyle built a super den in his house and then had a go at helping to put a tent up in the garden. It's so great to see you enjoying the lovely weather Kyle. Fantastic!

Lego Iron Man Hall of Armour

Oscar built this with his Daddy! Oscar followed the instructions carefully and didn't stop until it was finished. Great work Oscar!

Obstacle Course

Oscar and his sister built this fantastic obstacle course with different things from around the garden. Fantastic balancing!

Bug Hotel!

Oscar helped to build this bug hotel. They found a good spot to hang it outside and look forward to their first guests!

Potion Making!

Oscar and his sister collected different objects for their potion whilst out on a walk. They collected flowers, dust, soil, sticks and grass. They then added water, food colouring and glitter. They mixed up the ingredients and made up spells like the ones in Superworm and Room on a Broom. They all turned into frogs! Great potions.

Oscar's Superworm Story

After reading and enjoying Superworm, Oscar wanted to make his own Superworm book.

Fantastic Sticking and Writing

He had fun drawing, sticking on colourful pieces, talking about the story and writing descriptive sentences. Well done Oscar.

Harry's Adventures

Harry has been enjoying lots of different activities. He loves seeing the horses and donkeys on his daily walks and seeing what vegetables are available on a local farm stall. He bought and tried purple sprouting broccoli for the first time! Harry has enjoyed finding painted rocks from his friends and also painted rocks with his own special messages on. He has been helping to prepare meals and also done some baking. Harry loves spending time with his sisters and riding his scooter. Harry has been counting to 100 and has been doing some phonic activities. Great work Harry. Lovely to hear your news.

Cooking and Phonics!

Wow! Oliver made his own chilli and everyone went back for seconds! Delicious! Oliver has also been doing some phonic activitites. Great work Oliver.

Learning to Tell the Time

Oliver has enjoyed learning about how clocks work and how to tell the time. He has also liked having story time out in the garden and enjoyed the sunny weather. Looks lovely!

4.41 Mile Walk!

Oliver dressed as an explorer and used binoculars and a magnifying glass to find bugs stuck in a spider web, lots of minibeasts and animals. Oliver learned about how shadows and shade are formed and how walking is good for your brain. Oliver and his Mum are aiming for a 5 mile walk so they can walk to Stoke Climsland and back!
